My Recap of Christmas 2011

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Ruth and I apologize for being on hiatus for the past month. It was just hectic for the both of us with my job and her school. We definitely must revamp this blog for the new year and vow to keep this baby updated for as much as we both can.

Anyways, I had a pretty good Christmas. My tummy was very happy because of the tons of food that i devoured. Definitely need to hit up 24 after the holidays and shed all the calories off my system. My highlight was definitely getting my sister, Ruth, her first pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lita's. I just had to film her reaction because she had no idea I was actually gonna get her the shoes.

Here's the video of Ruth's Christmas present surprise:

On Christmas day, my family invited a few family friends over to watch the Laker game against the Bulls. I was definitely disappointed with how the last minute turned out, but I thought it was a good game overall.

I got the Saber Tooth Ring from Jewelmint and rocked it both Christmas eve and Christmas day. I think it fit my purple and gold theme. Haha, I know, I'm a dork.

After Christmas, I went to the mall with my family and wore this loose cropped top that had bare shoulders, with a cross ring and this tribal-esque necklace to complement my top.

I went to Macy's and I really wanted a rose gold Michael Kors watch. I went up to the counter, and they didn't have the one I've had my eye on. I ended up choosing between these two:

I really liked the one on the right, but I saw a couple of other girls eyeing the one on the right as well.  I didn't really want to have a watch that everyone would normally go for, so I chose the one with the crystals. It actually looks more feminine and flattering now that I stare at it more and more. I am so in love with this watch! I know everyone and their moms pretty much got Michael Kors watches for Christmas, but I'm just glad I got one that's more unique (also because it's no longer sold online, haha). In case yall want to know, the watch I got is called the Michael Kors "Show Stopper" Rose Golden watch. It took me a while to look up the name.

I hope you all had a great holiday and have a fantabulous New Year! :)

Black Friday Madness!

So as the previous post says, my sister and I spent our Black Friday in the wee hours at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. We lined up at Urban Outfitters around 2:30AM, waiting for the store to open at 4AM! It was so crowded! Even though getting in the store was such a hassle, I LOVED everything I bought. My sister and I also went to Brandy Melville. It was our first time there and let me tell you, I LOVE THAT STORE. I died when I walked in because everything in there was just so cute! The store's style was so effortlessly chic. Enough of my ramblings, the things I bought at UO are the printed backpack, lace fringe crop top, lace mesh bra, creme sweater dress, and brown/olive oxford booties. I also got my boyfriend's Christmas present, but that's a surprise! Haha. And the things I got from Brandy Melville were the peach asymmetrical maxi skirt, a bandeau, and two rings. I really wanted to buy more things from there, but I had to control myself. If I didn't, I'd be really broke! Hahaha.

I was surprised I didn't get as much as I expected. Compared to last year's Black Friday, I toned it down a bit. I was really disappointed at H&M. There was barely anything on sale and I couldn't find the H&M version of the American Apparel riding pants. Also, I've been trying to build my slacks collection, but H&M had NONE of their slacks from their pants collection.

Despite the disappointment, I was still happy about my buys! I liked EVERYTHING I bought and cannot wait to rock them! Fall and Winter are my absolute favorite seasons to dress up to. Layering and just being super comfortable is the best!

P.S. I'm super excited for this blog! Watch out for hauls, outfit of the days, reviews, and more!

xo,

Welcome to our new fashion/style/beauty blog!

Hey everyone!

We are so excited to share this journey with you all! We have always been trying to push to create a blog for so long and we finally pulled through! I hope you all enjoy reading our ramblings about fashion, style and beauty. Bare with the slow adjustments and changes to this blog since we're not pro, per se.

Anyways, welcome! Here's a photo of us sisters outside Urban Outfitters at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, waiting in line for the Black Friday sale.
